“The research workshops were an opportunity to connect with like-minded peers, while meeting and hearing from experts in various fields ranging from cancer research to machine learning. The workshops also provided me with the opportunity to further take my learning into my own hands. I emailed one of the speakers whom became my now former supervisor and who I was able to work under as a 2023 Summer Student through an NSERC Fellowship. I'm very grateful for the opportunities that the research workshops provided, and highly encourage undergraduate students to attend."
